| A Random Forest-Based Machine Learning Framework for Radar Target Detection and Classification | ||||||
Reliable target detection and classification remain central challenges in modern radar signal processing, particularly as radar systems are increasingly required to distinguish between genuine targets, clutter, and small or low-radar-cross-section objects such as drones. Conventional detection approaches, including constant false alarm rate (CFAR) and threshold-based methods, are well established but can struggle in cluttered or low signal-to-noise-ratio environments where target and clutter statistics overlap........

| Responsive Web Application for Children to Learn Sign Language | ||||||
In today's digital world, people expect web applications to be easy to use, accessible, and inclusive for everyone. But traditional text-based interfaces can be limiting especially for individuals with hearing, speech, or physical challenges making it harder for them to interact with technology. To bridge this gap, speech-based interaction has become a powerful tool, allowing users to communicate naturally through spoken language. This project builds a web-based Speech-to-Text (STT) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) system to bridge communication gaps...........

| Adaptive Energy Management for an IoT-Enabled Solar Lighting and Monitoring Station | ||||||
Solar-powered lighting systems provide a sustainable solution for outdoor and off-grid applications; however, their operating time is strongly affected by variations in solar energy availability and inefficient lighting control. This study presents the design and experimental validation of an Internet of Things-enabled solar lighting and monitoring system incorporating an energy-aware adaptive dimming strategy. The proposed control strategy determines the LED pulse-width modulation level based on ambient illuminance, motion detection, and battery state of charge...........

| Geo-Cultural Factors Shaping Traditional Residential Architecture in Eastern China: A Comparative Study of the Hui, Su, and Fujian Styles | ||||||
This research paper is dedicated to the traditional residential architecture of Eastern China and the geo-cultural factors that shaped it. The focus is on dwellings that emerged in similar climatic conditions but developed into different structures built from the same set of elements. China is one of the world's oldest civilizations, and the traditions carried across centuries have shaped construction and design as a response to regional conditions. The research covers six provinces, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui, Jiangxi, Fujian, and Shandong, and three architectural styles that left a mark on them: Hui, Su, and Fujian..........

| Comparative Review of Cathodic Protection Studies in Nigerian Soil and Marine Environments: Towards Defining Effective Voltage Ranges | ||||||
Corrosion of buried and submerged steel infrastructure is a critical challenge in Nigeria's oil, gas, and water industries, resulting in significant economic losses and environmental risks. Cathodic protection (CP) is widely adopted to mitigate corrosion, yet studies conducted in Nigerian environments—such as swampy soils, loamy soils, and saline seawater—report varying levels of effectiveness without defining a clear operational voltage range. This paper reviews and compares three notable CP studies: swampy soil environments (Ekott et al., 2013), buried steel pipelines in the Niger Delta (Ekott et al., 2014), and seawater..........

| Capacitor Banks Assisted Load Flow in Power Systems using Shunt Compensation Method | ||||||
A robust and efficient power system, designed to meet demand, is worth relying on. A prototype power system compliant with IEEE standards was used in this study. To achieve the aim of this research, a power system consisting of nine 11 kV feeders was used to conduct load flow studies in the Electrical Transient Analyzer Program (ETAP) software with and without capacitor banks to determine the stability, transfer, and loading capability of the power system. Shunt compensation method was used to integrate capacitor banks to achieve more stable and efficient power transfer...........

| Privacy-Preserving Edge-RAG for Intelligent Web Applications: A Client-Side Context Governance Framework | ||||||
Intelligent web applications increasingly use retrieval-augmented generation to personalize answers, summarize user data and guide actions inside browser-based workflows. This design improves usefulness but creates privacy and governance concerns because session state, user preferences, documents and interaction history can be copied into remote model contexts without adequate minimization. This paper proposes a Privacy-Preserving Edge-RAG framework for intelligent web applications. The framework places a context classifier, local vector cache, policy-governed context budget and answer/action gate between.........

| A Monte Carlo Study on the Estimation Accuracy of Beta Regression Models Across Different Sample Sizes | ||||||
Beta regression has become one of the most widely used statistical methods for modeling continuous response variables restricted to the interval (0,1). Although the maximum likelihood estimator is theoretically consistent and asymptotically efficient, its finite-sample performance under different sample sizes remains an important practical issue. This study evaluates the estimation performance of beta regression models using a comprehensive Monte Carlo simulation approach...........

Renovating and adapting existing single-family houses can reduce the environmental burden of the residential building stock, improve energy performance and strengthen resilience to a changing climate. In practice, however, decisions are often divided between energy upgrades, material choices, affordability and project delivery. This structured literature review examines the main criteria used to evaluate the renovation and adaptive reuse of single-family houses. It draws on 28 academic and institutional sources covering passive and active design measures, life-cycle assessment, low-carbon and circular.........

| Psychological Influence of Colors in The Interior: Can Colors Achieve a Higher Quality of Living Space | ||||||
The global epidemic has led to an increase in remote working, resulting in 62% of people staying indoors, increasing the demand for interior design. The psychology of colors is vital in interior decoration as it impacts the well-being of the surroundings and the psychological condition of individuals. This essay deals with understanding the psychological properties of colors and explains their importance for the interior design of living space. Warm shades evoke liveliness, and cold shades evoke peace. Colors affect the overall atmosphere and evoke emotions, with warm shades creating comfort and cool shades relaxing. Designers can manipulate emotional responses and enhance the experience..........

| Optimization of Acidic Pickling Wastewater Neutralization using Ca(OH)₂ and KOH Blending in Petroleum Production Facilities in the Niger Delta | ||||||
Water pollution in the petroleum industry is a rampant issue that is deadly to marine life, livestock and human welfare. The drilling, fracking and pickling of metal operations result in hazardous wastewater that demands robust wastewater treatment. The processing of acidic metal pickling effluents is an issue in operations. This investigation deals with a dual reagent neutralization experiment to treat our wastewater using a blend of Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) and Calcium Hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) at various ratios. Each mixture's stoichiometric efficiency, sludge quality and cost are compared...........

| Polynomial Seventh-Order Two-Parameter Interpolation Kernel Optimization Using the Extended Slope Criterion | ||||||
This paper presents the optimization of a polynomial seventh-order two-parameter (2P) interpolation kernel using the Extended slope criterion, obtained by extending the Slope criterion with an additional slope-equality condition. The Slope criterion requires the slope of the time-domain characteristic of the 2P kernel at the interpolation node 𝑠=1 to be equal to the corresponding slope of the ideal 𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑐 kernel. Since this condition yields one equation with two unknown parameters, 𝛼 and 𝛽, an infinite number of solutions is obtained. The criterion is therefore extended by imposing an additional condition requiring equality of the slopes..........
